You decide to offer a special members-only workshop to give your audience the opportunity to learn from you. You share the news with your fans, and they’re excited to attend. With your topic and materials on hand, all that’s left is setting up a webinar to broadcast the workshop. This is where things can get complicated. Most webinar platforms are a pain to use—or make it difficult to figure out how to stream to a crowd. Perhaps you have a team chat app, but it's designed to chat with your team, not to share the video with the world. Or maybe your webinar tool only lets you stream video—and doesn't have tools to host a live Q&A or pass the mic to an attendee.Read MoreCrowdcast tries to simplify that by making webinars a teaching tool to connect with your audience. Teachers, thought leaders, and professionals can use Crowdcast to reach out and share their knowledge with their fans and followers. Whether you’re hosting a workshop or a 3-day digital conference, you can create events where interaction and conversation can thrive. The first step to hosting your first event is to create. Once signed in, the New Event button opens the event setup page where you can give it a name and schedule. Events can be a single session or a series where you can create and schedule multiple sessions related to the topic. You can then add additional info to give your event more context. You can give it a detailed description and cover photo, set the event as public or unlisted (i.e. only members with the event link can attend), password-protect the event, or set it as a paid event. If you’re on the higher plans, you can create additional registration fields to capture more information about your attendees. Paid events used to require third-party payment gateways that take time to set up. Crowdcast removes the guesswork through their Stripe integration. Simply set a ticket price for your events and your customers can purchase via Stripe right from the event page, with no extra fees other than Stripe’s standard 2.9% + 30¢ payment processing fee.Once you have all the event details in place, hit Save to finish. Upcoming events will have a countdown displayed on the screen so your audience knows when you’re going live. On the day of the event, click on the green ”Prepare to Go Live“ button to enter the green room and begin broadcasting. Once the event is over, a recording will be available for those who’d like to see the replay. Q&As, workshops, and online conferences are ideal avenues to grow your following because by nature they’re interactive and engaging. Ironically, traditional webinar platforms aren’t built to enable people to interact with one another beyond live chat. Crowdcast empowers you with tools to engage your audience during your event. One option is to invite someone to go on screen with you. They can be guest speakers of your online summit or audience members on chat who can ask their questions live. Simply click on the invite link to bring them up stage. To further the conversation, you can launch polls or pick up questions or suggested topics to discuss during the event. Want to bring public events to your Facebook and Twitter followers? Crowdcast’s Multistreams feature lets you stream to third-party services like Facebook Live, YouTube Live, and others. Crowdcast then becomes your command center where you can manage your event in one place as opposed to managing multiple channels before and after the event. More importantly, you can expand and engage with a wider audience since no one is tied to a single channel or platform. Managing live events successfully requires careful preparation and hard work. With multistreams, built-in engagement tools, and quick payments for paid events, Crowdcast makes sure you only need to focus on bringing high-quality content to your audience.
