People love swag. But if selling apparel and accessories isn't necessarily core to your business, you don't want to invest precious time in making it happen. Printful provides all the tools required to take any design, print it onto any item you can imagine, and sell and ship these products to interested buyers.Start by creating an account, and Printful will guide you through setting up your first store. If you already sell your products on an existing eCommerce platform, like Shopify, Amazon, or Etsy, you can connect that account. Otherwise, you can create a manual order platform to sell your Printful products.Read MoreOnce you've finished creating a store, it's time to add products. Select your store from the dashboard, and click Add product. Here, you'll be able to browse Printful's catalog and select which products you want to sell printed with your custom designs. Options range from standard hats, t-shirts, and mugs all the way to leggings, throw pillows, and bathing suits.Once you've selected your product, you can upload your design and add text or clipart. The web-based design tool allows you to position everything as you'd like it and make adjustments such as font size and thread color. Once the design is complete, you can preview the mockups as they'll appear to your customers. You can also set pricing and shipping rates. Once you're satisfied, approve the product, and it will be added to your store. Before going live with orders to the public, you can order a demo product and have it shipped to you. From the main dashboard, click New Order. Select Sample order to receive a discount and free shipping to some destinations (with some limitations). Add your products to the order, and complete the checkout process to receive your physical samples. For businesses that want to have enough inventory on hand to sell at volume, Printful offers warehousing and fulfillment services. To access these services, click Warehouse in the main dashboard. Select Add new product, and you'll be guided through the process of determining where the product should be stored, how much of it should be in inventory, and for what period of time. Printful syncs your warehouse products with your online store, and in many cases can display real-time stock information to your customers. If you want to keep certain design files in a convenient spot, upload them to the File library, also found on the main dashboard. Note that Printful has detailed requirements on how graphic files are composed so that they can be printed on different clothing products and other materials. Of course, if the graphics side of things is out of your wheelhouse, you can make use of Printful's design services to create the appropriate files based on your artwork. Once you're rolling with warehousing, shipping, and sales, you can track everything in the Statistics section of the dashboard. You'll be able to see a real-time view of your sales and costs summary, as well as fulfillment cost breakdowns by category, product, and country. If your goal is to take a custom design or company brand and sell it on products through an online store, Printful offers everything you need to set up your operation, manage it, and monitor your progress.
